Ampage/Wattage/Crapage/Trapage

Saturday morning conversation over coffee in the Kirkndopp house:

"It looks like a 45 Watt solar panel gives us 12 amp hours a day."

"I think the black tank needs a trap. I definately think that is the problem."

"What is the opposite of a trickle charger, a non-trickle charger or a fast charger?"

December 26th!

We are leaving in about a month. The trip is kinda sorta planned. We'll take two days to drive to San Diego and then take the family to Sea World courtesy of the grandparents in Roseville (thanks ;) We'll practice city boondocking nearby. On the 29th of December, we'll cross the border in Tijuana and head to San Felipe for my big 40 celebration! I like champagne, blended margaritas and gin & tonics everybody!

I'm spending my days thinking through our needs before we go. We're going for a long time so there is a lot to think about. I have to buy things like a lifejacket for Ryder, containers to keep the bus organized, a case of pesto and pasta, enough journals for all to last months, tape, scissors, find the best gas prices, solar panels, sunhats, bike tubes ...

Bought this week...
Portable DVD player with speakers
Mini Weber BBQ with 12 foot gas line
Shower Head with on/off switch
More Books on Driving through Latin America
Lots of TJ's Enchilada Sauce/Angel Hair Pasta/Pesto Jars
Solar Panels for roof

Looking for...
kids' wetsuits
inflatable kayaks
collapsible jogging stroller
trickle charger

Shannon & Ben's Engagement Party in Seattle

We had a great weekend up in Seattle with Shannon and Ben as well as all of Steve's family. The party was fantastic, breakfast the next morning at Connie's was delicious and then another overnight on Whidby Island where the wedding will take place summer 2011. It's always fun to hang out with Bannon and we thank them for all of their efforts!

How cute is this!
