She's Home
After a month of trying to decide between an RV or school bus, we finally decided we did want something big enough to house us and our bikes. We jumped on this one and had the keys in hand within two days. She's 40 feet long, six big giant tires, and has the skeleton of a house inside. The plumbing for a bathroom is in but there is no shower, toilet or sink. Everything for the kitchen is there except well, a stove, fridge or sink. But, the holes have already been drilled, the electrical set-up so we're excited about finding the right set-up for us. The most important thing about the bus - it runs fantastic! I mean, starts right up and purrs (loudly). So, our summer project will be, this. We plan to use mostly donated or recycled items for the bus spending the least amount of money. We'll be hitting up friends and family for all kinds of junk toiling around in the garages.

Very cool! This is Evan's dream for our family. Unfortunately, the rest of the family doesn't share his enthusiasm for huge projects like this.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're having a lot of fun with this. Where do you think the first trip will be?
ReplyDeleteAlso, you don't necessarily need a big 100 gallon tank for water. You can add smaller tanks underneith to add up to 100 gallons and connect them all together so one drains to the next. Then have one pump that takes it to your faucets and stuff.
