Hi Family, My name is Liz and I came across your blog through some friends we met in Mexico last winter. It has been fun reading about your adventure as we spent 6 months travelling from Alberta, Canada to Palenque, Mexico and back just last winter. Here is the link to our blog.http://offwegotomexico.blogspot.com/ We traveled in a 1982 dodge okanagen campervan with our two boys ages 8 and 12 You may find some of the info there useful for your own travels. Free campspots we recommend are Maruata ( turtle sanctuary) Tenacatita( (coral reef and amazing snorkling ) and San Carlos( way up north near the border. Please feel free to email me if you'd like more info of neat places to see. If you are still in San Miguel you MUST check out Guanajuato but you're bus will never make it to the campspot listed in the Churches guide but at least make a day trip there.
Hope to hear from you! liztompkinsontheroad@gmail.com
Meeting Diane has been a fun part of attending Spanish Classes! We have seen her walking all over town and listened to her experience of being locked in the shower at the camp ground and thus being late for Spanish class. I will continue to follow this blog and watch as her family and she continue their Mexican experience. LeaRae Keyes www.nurse-entrepreneur-network.com
We are a family with three boys ages 12, 8 and 5 traveling, learning, biking and experiencing the Good Life together in Portland, Oregon and currently in SE Asia.
Fantastic photos! What a nice walk! Marlene
