Blue Daisy's New Temp Home

Our lovely friends we met in Guatemala last year, Gene and Meredith, found this great place to park the bus while living back in Portland. Gene's awesome Mom Nancy has granted us her sideyard for a few months complete with a garden, hook-ups and chickens. It's a quiet and secluded neighborhood I had never seen before in Portland with small farms and barely any moving vehicles. Urban farming within easy biking distance of Mt. Scott, Woodstock Library and Trader Joe's. We're feeling pretty lucky right now. It's good to have connections that think outside the box!

I love this tiny little urban farm we found right down the road. It looks like they have squeezed a ton of food on what looks like maybe an acre and a half. Nicely done!

  1. Oh, gosh - if you're that close to the Woodstock library and Trader Joe's, then you are on my bike path around town every day! If you have time to visit, my little house is in Sellwood! (And my sweety pie is just off Holgate - a few blocks from TJ's) ... well wishes to all!
