Learning how to Drive this Beast

We took a drive out to Steve's parents house in the giant beast. Steve drives this thing really well. He hit one curb on a turn but the rest was smooth sailing. The kids were so excited and adorable getting in it and screaming and smiling. They love this thing and cannot wait to try living in it for awhile. It's been really hot this week so we put in the air conditioner to see if it could handle 105 degrees. It can, but only in the back of the bus. The front was still pretty hot. I don't think we'll be camping much in this kind of heat though. We're also having some problems blowing fuses. Both the air conditioner and fridge have been clicking off when they aren't supposed to. We're not sure what that means. I'm glad we've had this heat wave if only to test it all out. Steve has also been trying to figure out the water tanks, sinks and shower situation. Lots of tiny parts to figure out and try to find at plumbing and rv stores. Hopefully he'll have this thing figured out by the end of the weekend and we'll have dishes to wash and test out. Kudos to Steve for working pretty hard this week and in this heat! Papa Steve rocks it!

  1. hey there! (psst, i'm just a friend of linda's) i'm not much of an electrician, but check you're properly grounded? an undersized ground can cause that sort of thing; we had that trouble in the past.

also? any dollar spent on over-insulating the place is a dollar well spent. i thought i was over-doing it in my place, but i guess one can't have too much.

it's a great bus! loff eet!
